Venture Fellowship
Our prayer….... is to provide an environment where authentic community and spiritual growth become a reality. This reality is expressed through serving and caring for each other as members of the body of Christ. We study God’s word with an emphasis on application. We pray for one another, and together we worship, have social activities, and grow in Christ. We encourage participation in mid-week small groups as well as regular opportunities to serve others locally and globally through outreach and missions. We are on a venture pursuing a life-long, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ where our identity with Him is affirmed by how we love and serve others.
Our class is designed for singles in their 30s and 40s. We have a few mentor couples by design who are available as ‘coaches’ and role models.
Our distinctives include Scripture study. We use a team-teaching model where teachers rotate every 6-8 weeks. One of our teacher’s is Greg Hayes, who is both a high school band director and graduate of Dallas Seminary.
Our second distinctive is building Biblical community. This is being implemented through small group ministries which meet during the week and regular social activities for the entire class. The fellowship activities are coordinated through a fellowship team and the small-group ministry through class and small-group leaders.
Our third distinctive is outreach – locally and globally. We have an outreach team which coordinates local service opportunities inside and outside the Stonebriar fellowship as well as global mission opportunities through Stonebriar’s Mission Ministry. All of these activities are covered with prayer and a commitment to serve and support each other.
